Norovirus Outbreak at Catholic University
Photo by Alan Cordova The Tower, the student newspaper of Catholic University, is reporting that the D.C. Department of Health has confirmed an outbreak of Norovirus on the Northeast campus. More than 23 students have been confirmed to have fallen ill due to the virus since January 21. An outbreak of Norovirus affected more than 130 Catholic students in 2006. NBC4 is reporting that the hospitalizations of Georgetown University students that began Tuesday night is being blamed on a massive outbreak of the Norovirus. Something like 170 students are now believed to be affected. The last report from the Hoya says that the Leo J. O’Donovan dining hall has been closed indefinitely while officials investigate the illnesses….
