Ask DCist: What Are They Filming on Q Street?
We can’t tell you how many emails we got this morning asking us if we knew what was being filmed on Q Street NW between 16th and 17th, right in front of Hank’s Oyster Bar. By the time our intrepid reporter arrived, the production was either being packed up for lunch, or for good, but we were able to find out that it’s in fact a shoot for a Chevy commercial. We’re not sure…

It seems that organizations are coming out of the woodwork to keep D.C. residents and visitors from enjoying the beverages so crucial to the success and enjoyment of any social interaction. High profile clashes over liquor licenses have been common between local…

What’s Better Than Lobster?
DCist challenges the omnivores among you to refute this statement: Lobster is nature’s perfect food. You can’t, can you? Is it because it reminds us of summer? Because it’s a little bit messy to eat? Or because we can unapologetically dip its sweet, tender flesh in butter? Really it’s all of the above. Unfortunately, lobster is just too hard on the wallet to eat regularly. Thankfully some D.C. chefs have stepped down from the whole…
