Panda Xiao Qi Ji turns two this weekend! And in celebration, he and his mom will enjoy a delicious birthday cake for breakfast on Sunday.

Meet Xiao Qi Ji, which translates to “Little Miracle,” a baby panda whose birth and naming are moments of joy during the pandemic.

The cub’s sex was determined via genetic testing of a cheek swab taken at his first veterinary exam on Sept. 19.

“With what’s going on in D.C. and the rest of the world right now, we would be so happy to share the birth of a panda.”
