Elsewhere in the Ist-a-verse
LAist is experimenting with blogging dates from J-Date, but finds the best men are found offline. Some date vicariously online and that is one reason why porn is big — really freaking big — so they ask if they should cover XXX since the heart of it lays in the city’s San Fernando Valley. A writer grapples with her food porn photography obsession, another gets censored on Flickr, one gets scooped by the LA…

Cruise and Snyder Make a Deal
Tom “Who needs Paramount Pictures?” Cruise just struck a deal that brings him a little bit closer to our neck of the woods, figuratively speaking: CNN reports the actor has signed a two-year development deal for his production company Cruise/Wagner Productions, with the investment partnership First and Goal, headed by Redskins owner Daniel Snyder. With bladders filling up and lines to use the restrooms growing ever so long, the judicial process ground…

Protecting the Skies

Apparently, the craft, which has been used in Afghanistan and…

In the neighborhood, other muggings have also occured recently despite increased police patrols. The Post reports the lights have been used “in areas known for heavy drug dealing” for years, and the move is apparently a temporary decision to increase lighting while city crews repair streetlights:Last night, crews were replacing broken lights at…

Dupont Circle residents are on edge after the fatal early morning shooting of a popular local waiter. Details as to what happened are becoming more clear. Witnesses reported hearing Alstad…
