Metro customers could soon have the options of paying for train and bus fares with credit cards or smartphones directly at the turnstile.

D.C. taxicabs will have to offer credit card payment options by March 31. The choice of technology will be theirs, though.

Car2go will pay an additional $215,300 to get its 100 new cars out of paying parking tickets for a year.

Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr. (D-Ward 5) may make $125,000 a year as a member of the D.C. Council, but not much of that is staying in his bank account.
