Last week, local development blog DCMud reported that local uber-developer Douglas Development had picked up the deed on the Equitable Building at 915 F Street NW for $5 million, half of what the previous owner paid for it. It’s a property that we’ve been keeping an eye on for some time.

Prince of Petworth passed along word this morning that the ownership of the Museum of Arts & Sciences, a dance hall which was supposed to open in the former Old Equitable Bank/Platinum Nightclub/Club Bounce space at 915 F Street NW, had “unexpectedly suspended all operations and shuttered the business” yesterday at noon.
