Four Men Plead Guilty to Stealing Textbooks from GW Bookstore and Selling Them to Students
Four men have pleaded guilty to stealing $200,000 worth of textbooks from the George Washington University library and selling them off to students at a discount.
A former employee of D.C.’s Office of Tax and Revenue pleaded guilty today to taking part in a scheme to file fraudulent tax returns that raked in $14.7 million in local and federal funds.
A D.C. man accused of killing a puppy with a cement block earlier in the summer pleaded guilty yesterday, and now faces five years in jail.

Second Gray Campaign Aide Pleads Guilty to Lying
As expected, a campaign aide to Mayor Vince Gray pleaded guilty today to lying to federal investigators about his role in a scheme to pay fringe mayoral candidate Sulaimon Brown to stay in the 2010 race and attack Mayor Adrian Fenty.
Thomas Gore, a close friend and former assistant treasurer of his 2010 mayoral campaign, today pleaded guilty to steering money orders to the floundering campaign of fringe candidate Sulaimon Brown and then destroying evidence of the fact once federal investigators started looking into the allegations.

Arenas Pleads Guilty to Felony Gun Possession
Word from D.C. Superior Court is that suspended Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas has entered a guilty plea to a single felony count of carrying a firearm without a license. Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon to Resign
It’s a breaking news kinda Wednesday, apparently. As best we can tell, Marc Steiner was actually the first person to report that embattled Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon has agreed to resign as part of a plea agreement reached with state prosecutors. Another Guilty Plea in OCTO Case
Yusuf Acar Yusuf Acar, the former D.C. computer security official who was arrested and charged in March for his part in a bribery scheme that allegedly funneled phony contracts and pay checks through the District’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer, is expected to plead guilty, the Examiner reports.
