The D.C.-bred indie-pop trio marks 30 years together and is launching a new non-profit.

DCist interviewed Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn in advance of tomorrow night’s sold out show at The Howard Theatre.

Tomorrow, Travis returns to the District, but this time as the second headliner to play The Lincoln Theatre since I.M.P. Productions was given the reins to the historic venue.

On the heels of her sweeping last night’s Grammy Awards, we take a look back at Adele’s first D.C. show, a June 2008 set at the Sixth and I Historic Synagogue. “She’ll have a career that far outlasts most of her peers,” our critic wrote.

We certainly don’t blame anyone who gave up on Sting after his musical missteps of the past few years, but on Saturday night, the 60-year old pop icon proved that he’s still got game.

Grabbing a microphone and cane while donning a black top hat, the evening’s ringleader, Napoleon Dynamite, announces to the audience: “We’ll perform songs about love! Songs about sex! Songs about death and songs about dancing! But not necessarily in that order.”
