The Marshall Heights Bison football team won the Pop Warner Jr. Midget Division I National Championship in Florida yesterday, shutting out Miami’s Gwen Cherry Bulls 14-0.

Given the general sporting malaise in this town, we’ll take any good news we can get — so we are really going to savor in the championship-winning ways of the Beacon House Falcons.
