Derecho Common Beer to Be Tapped Today
The beer that violent weather created will be tapped today. Port City Brewing Company, the Alexandria brewery, is set to unveil its Derecho Common today at 3 p.m. in its tasting room.
In commemoration of the storm that helped create it, Alexandria’s Port City Brewing Company is making a limited edition Derecho Common beer.
As we wrote yesterday, Alexandria’s Port City Brewing Company has been fighting to save 13,000 gallons of beer after it lost power last weekend. Despite the challenges, the brewers aren’t sitting around moping, though—they’re throwing a party.
