Radiohead @ Verizon Center
Without the pressure to overcome Mother Nature on Sunday at the Verizon Center, Radiohead settled into a set that focused on last year’s low-key King of Limbs and delivered a surprisingly satisfying show.
Radiohead is coming back to town, and this time you won’t have to sit through hours of traffic and torrential rains to enjoy their show.

Radiohead @ Nissan Pavilion: Stormy Weather
The heated comments in today’s Morning Roundup mostly concern what appears to have been a really rough, weather-related time for concert goers at Sunday night’s Radiohead concert at Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Va. Consumerist has since picked up the thread, highlighting some of the more incensed venting on the part of fans who were turned away from the venue thanks to road flooding and parking issues at the sold-out concert. A couple music blogs posted a list of dates and venues today, sending local fans into a tailspin of clearing their calendars for May 21 and wondering when tickets go on sale. We hate to burst your bubbles, but the band’s press team tells us that those dates “couldn’t be more wrong.” The details are…

This Just In: Radiohead To Play D.C.
What would a Radiohead announcement be if there wasn’t some shroud of mystery or dangling question marks surrounding it? We’ve just heard from the band’s press team that they will be playing a show in D.C. — at a yet to be announced date and venue. But, the British are definitely coming. Radiohead hasn’t been to the D.C. area since playing Merriweather Post Pavillion in 2003. After they turned the music industry on its…

Popcorn & Candy: Black Gold
DCist’s highly subjective and hardly comprehensive guide to the most interesting movies playing around town in the coming week. Major Release: There Will Be Blood We should have held our tongues on our top 10 for the year until the actual end of the year. Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film slipped in just under the 2007 wire in limited release last week, and the director channels John Huston, Stanley Kubrick, and his own wild-eyed imagination…
