Randy Edsall Chosen as New Maryland Football Coach

Just days after Ralph Friedgen coached his final game in the Military Bowl at nearby RFK Stadium, University of Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson announced yesterday that former University of Connecticut head coach Randy Edsall will be named Friedgen’s successor.

But the scheduling adjustment is just a tiny reflection of the large changes the program has undergone since the Terps concluded a wildly inconsistent 8-5 season with a victory over Nevada in the Humanitarian Bowl last December….
