D.C.’s Attorney General, and others across the country, are asking the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall on Kia and Hyundai vehicles due to theft rates.

But the Ward 2 representative is likely not long for the council either way, given that his council colleagues unanimously agreed to move forward with expelling him from his seat on Tuesday. 

The embattled councilmember’s lawyer is is asking the D.C. Board of Elections to toss out all the petitions that would trigger a recall election.
