Gray Skeptical of Lowering Speed Camera Fines, May Favor Higher Fines for Repeated Violations
Mayor Vince Gray isn’t so sure about lowering fines for speed cameras, but he might be willing to establish graduated fines based on the number of violations.
D.C.’s speed and red light cameras are great for safety, and great for the bottom line. WTOP reports that in fiscal year 2011, the city’s multitude of automated traffic enforcement cameras brought $55 million into city coffers.

Salahis Stopped by Secret Service Near White House
