The Mt. Pleasant Branch Library opens tomorrow after over two years worth of work that saw a new addition built while the library’s historic core was maintained.

A rehabilitation project in Georgetown runs into a bit of an obstacle: replacing streetcar tracks that are over 100 years old.

Huzzah! Work to rehabilitate Columbus Plaza, which has been called “the city’s most embarrassingly neglected public space,” is scheduled to finally begin on Monday.

UPDATE: Well, that sure was quick — Ben Giles, who reported out the Examiner story cited in this post, tweeted this morning that the mezzanine/platform escalator on the K Street side of the Farragut North station has reopened. Huzzah!
