The ceremony was a celebration of the senior class’s perseverance amid the pandemic and community pride in Annandale’s diversity.

Lawmakers want to make it easier for D.C. students to opt for remote learning, but Mayor Muriel Bowser says it kids do better when they’re learning in person.

The inspection will evaluate the availability and equity of remote learning for the city’s public school students.

Local school systems will have until the end of 2020 to establish an average of least 3.5 hours of synchronous learning across all grades.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the school says it will prioritize dorm rooms for freshman and some sophomores who want to live on campus.
