D.C. police are coordinating with retailers on the release of new sneakers, like a new model of Air Jordan shoes set to go on sale tomorrow.

Fifty-nine liquor stores have applied for permission to sell booze on Sundays so far, taking advantage of a D.C. law passed late last year that did away with the longstanding prohibition of the practice.

The D.C. Council will consider legislation that would allow liquor stores to remain open on Sundays.
