DCist Interview: Jennifer Dziura
As our Gothamist friends picked up back in 2005, 28-year-old comedienne Jennifer Dziura is a pretty funny gal. After reading her bio, I quickly realized that I wanted to be her. The Dartmouth philosophy grad is a human smorgasbord, with past stints as a contraceptive tester, naked model for miscellaneous art schools, trapeze assistant, dot-com entrepreneur, and occasional comedy writer for McSweeney’s and the Idiot’s Guide to Jokes. Butch Walker @ 9:30 Club
Butch Walker is a man who wears many hats. As a recording artist, he’s been in several bands including 80s rockers Bad Boyz and Byte the Bullet (SouthGang), Floyds Funk Revival, The Floyds, and the Marvelous 3. Flying solo he released two albums, 2002’s Left of Self-Centered and Letters in 2004. MONDAY >> Everyone, we’re stumped. We’ve been scratching our heads for weeks now, trying to figure out why three bands with as much buzz following them around as Cold War Kids, Midlake, and Sound Team (pictured) would be playing the Black Cat’s back stage, especially when nothing else is booked upstairs.
