Virtual ODB to Perform at D.C.’s Rock the Bells, Widow Not So Sure About This Whole Thing
Organizers say they are working with Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s family to ensure his “virtual” performance will go on.
Another year, and another “Rock The Bells” went off at Merriweather Post Pavilion over the weekend. The tour routinely puts some of hip-hop’s biggest names on the same bill, while also providing a platform for artists who are not as well known to expand their fanbases. This year’s D.C./Baltimore area stop included performances from Common, The Roots, Slaughterhouse, and Reflection Eternal, among others….

Rock The Bells @ Merriweather Post Pavilion
If there’s a singular take-away point from Sunday’s Rock the Bells show, it’s that hip-hop has built up enough cache over the years to warrant a day-long concert attended by folks ranging from their teens to those with gray hairs in their goatees, at near capacity levels.
