D.C. Attorney General Alleges Casa Ruby Founder Underpaid Staff, Stole Wages And Other Funds
An updated OAG complaint comes as the nonprofit’s founder, Ruby Corado, faces allegations that she stole more than $400,000 from Casa Ruby.
Corado’s legal representation and the attorney general’s updated complaint must both be finalized by Monday.

Casa Ruby Owes Creditors Millions And ‘Should Be Dissolved,’ Says Court-Appointed Receiver
A court-appointed auditor of the LGBTQ+ organization determined that Casa Ruby owes creditors more than $2 million dollars and left rented properties in disarray.
The group is raising money with a GoFundMe campaign to continue some of its emergency shelter services for LGBTQ+ people experiencing homelessness.
“I never had to call the police like we’ve had to call the police in the last six months,” says Ruby Corado, founder of Casa Ruby.
