Photos: Nearly 50 People Gather for Pussy Riot Solidarity Concert at the Russian Embassy
Put on by Amnesty International, the second annual concert—held directly across the street from the Russian Embassy in Glover Park—harkened back to the golden days of D.C.’s protesting past.
The second-annual concert will take place tomorrow in front of the Russian Embassy and will feature performances from Jail Solidarity, Soft Punch, and G.U.T.S.
Supporters of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot are headed to the Russian Embassy at noon today to protest the recent trial of three of the group’s members.
The Russian band Pussy Riot is getting some emotional support from D.C.’s music community tomorrow night, when four local bands play a protest show on the doorstep of the Russian Embassy.

Russia Observes Days of National Mourning
Washington’s Russian Embassy has announced on its website (and reported by WTOP) that a book of condolences will be available for visitors who want to leave a message for the victims of the terrorist attack at a Belsan, Russia, school last week. The New York Times is reporting today the attackers had apparently planned out their actions in “precise” detail. The embassy will be open today until 5 p.m. today, and tomorrow from 10 a.m….
