The incident affects some residents who were vaccinated at the Fort Stanton Recreation Center earlier this month.
“The people that I hear from — they’re willing to strike,” said Natalie Bolling, a longtime Safeway employee and a shop steward with Local 400.
As negotiations hit a wall, the union could vote on March 5 to authorize a strike if the two sides can not come to an agreement.
The grocery store chains are at odds with the union over wages, health care benefits and worker pensions.
