Bethesda honored the three hometown Olympians who competed in London with a “Welcome Home” party Friday night outside the Bethesda Metro Center.

Next Friday Bethesda officials will gather to honor three hometown Olympians, including gold medal swimmer Katie Ledecky.

We talked to Scott Parsons, a Bethesda resident who just competed in the whitewater canoe slalom event at the Olympic Games in London. He didn’t get past the first round, but being at the Olympics is still “pretty sweet.”
