The Department of Regulatory and Consumer Affairs revised its proposed rules governing secondhand stores to include furniture and jewelry dealers.

The District’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs released today its proposed changes to regulations governing secondhand shops and announced it will not take any enforcement measures against the affected businesses during the public comment period.
