After being rejected in May by the Virginia House of Delegates, today gay Richmond prosecutor Tracy Thorne-Begland was appointed to a District Court judgeship by a panel of Circuit Court judges.

How tolerant is the District? Apparently less so than Durham, Baltimore, Austin, Trenton, Tampa and a host of other cities. Or so The Daily Beast would have you believe.
