The Ledo Pizza is supplementing the existing soul food restaurant in the building, and the owner hopes to add indoor seating.

DCist/WAMU spoke to residents of Wards 7 & 8 about the iconic D.C. landmark. Most are happy to see the historic building still standing, despite ongoing changes in the area.

The landmark is filling a need in one of D.C.’s most notable food deserts.
