A candidate struggling to stay on the ballot for the At-Large special election scheduled for April 23 has accused the Board of Elections of failing to properly file change-of-address forms for tens of thousands of D.C. voters.
Only eight of 20 At-Large contenders turned in nominating petitions on time yesterday to get on the April 23 ballot.

Elections Board Rules That Anti-Corporate Cash Petition Did Not Clear Signature Threshold
Activists trying to strip corporate money from D.C. campaigns received a setback today when the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics ruled they did not present enough valid signatures to earn their petition a slot on November’s ballot.
The Libertarian Party is suing D.C. over rules restricting who can and cannot collect signatures to get candidates for elected office on the ballot.

Biddle Challenges Include Some Notable D.C. Voters
In February, Ward 1 resident Maria Cardona signed a nominating petition to get Bryan Weaver on the ballot for the April 26 At-Large Special Election. According to Interim Councilmember Sekou Biddle’s campaign, however, Cardona is one of 1,417 questionable signatures on Weaver’s petitions.
But she’s also Weaver’s wife.
