At long last, Sinclair Skinner’s animated history of Adrian Fenty has reached its denouement. In the last chapter, set the morning after his September 2010 loss to Vince Gray, Fenty sounds like a giant robot.

Is this the beginning of the Adrian Fenty comeback? Not sure, but either way, the former mayor’s old pal Sinclair Skinner is back promoting Fenty. Oh, sure, in the past Skinner’s Fenty hype has included some epic press releases, public statements and campaign tricks, but this is different. Cartoons.

Sinclair Skinner sure is trying his best to grab our attention these days. First, it was a call to investigate Ward 1 Councilmember Jim Graham after he had a dust-up over the Council tickets to the Lady Gaga concert at Verizon Center. Today, he upped the ante again. In light of a report about the allegedly improper awarding of Parks and Recreation contracts which vindicates former mayor Adrian Fenty but throws him under the bus, Skinner took to a podium outside city hall and delivered the following statement in response, which, well…it stands on its own, really. Sure, let’s get totally crazy! Sinclair Skinner, the Adrian Fenty confidant who was a key figure in the D.C. Council’s special investigation into the city’s recreation construction contracts, sent out a long and winding press release this afternoon, calling for an investigation into Jim Graham’s role in the Ted Loza bribery scandal.

The highly anticipated testimony of Fenty confidant Sinclair Skinner is going on now before the D.C. Council. You can watch the hearing streaming live on Channel 13. Word at the end of the day Tuesday was that controversial Fenty pal Sinclair Skinner had successfully rescheduled the date to deliver his court-ordered testimony before the D.C. Council to April 14. But now it looks like it’s been pushed back one more day, to April 15, D.C. Wire reports. Tax Day just got a whole lot more interesting….
