The weekend storm is “basically guaranteed” to blanket D.C. and its suburbs.
We’ve reclaimed the city back from nature and turned it into a very fluffy playground.
Some stores are already sold out of sleds, but heavy black trash bags work, as well as plastic trays, inflatable pool floats and some trash can lids.
D.C.’s merrymakers are already making plans.
But the fact that it exists at all means we probably won’t have to deal with a government shutdown.
Victory.
And no one was arrested.
Sledding on U.S. Capitol Grounds is prohibited, unless you have a waiver from Congress.
