D.C. Caught in a Snowstorm Sandwich
For the past few days, the D.C. region has been obsessing over whether or not we’d be blessed with a white Christmas this morning. Look outside your window, the answer is no. The more important issue now is the winter storm watch placed on the entire metro region, Loudoun, Fauquier and Frederick counties for all of Sunday. According to the Capital Weather Gang, today’s light and fluffy dusting from the north will combine with a heartier multi-grain system from the south to form a snow-covered D.C. sandwich potentially more than half a foot thick. Throw in a little arugula, pickled onions and Dijon mustard, and you’ve got yourself an epic sammy worthy of Davy DCist.
