‘Strong and Getting Stronger,’ Gray Says in Speech
Mayor Vince Gray played the sunny optimist last night in delivering his second State of the District address. In a 54-minute speech before a packed house at Sixth and I Historic Synagogue, the mayor portrayed the District as an island of economic stability and growth.
Mayor Vince Gray will deliver his second — and hopefully, way shorter — State of the District speech on February 7, 2012.

State of the District’s Road Closures: SOTU Edition
Tonight President Barack Obama will deliver his third State of the Union address, and as usual plenty of roads around the U.S. Capitol will be closed off to traffic as of 7 p.m. and remain blocked until after Obama finishes his 9 p.m. address.
