This little man shooting a look at the camera is Donovan Jordan, D.C.’s representative in the National Spelling Bee, which wrapped up last night. Jordan didn’t take home top honors, but he certainly did his city proud.

You’d Think They’d Be Able To Afford A Copy Editor
Based on current tuition rates, completing a four-year undergraduate degree at Georgetown University costs students and their parents slightly more than $160,000. Given such revenue, one would assume that the school might be able to employ someone to make sure “University” is spelled correctly on the cover of its commencement program.

‘Trun’ on to the 15th Street Contraflow Bike Lane
DDOT workers were out putting the finishing touches on the contraflow bike lane on 15th Street NW today, installing the permanent plastic pylons that separate the line of parked cars from the new sidewalk-adjacent bike lane. But it looks like there are still a few wrinkles to get ironed out with the signage.
