Morning Roundup: PG Strip Club Edition

And what’s going on this Thursday morning, Washington? Three Prince George’s County strip clubs are suing to block new rules that are supposed to go into effect today. WJLA reports that they are seeking ‘unspecified damages and recovery of legal fees’ in an effort to avoid new regulations such as performances needing to take place at least six feet away from customers. Ah, just another day in the life of the PG strip club…

Morning Roundup: I’m Sorry Edition

We promise you, Washington, we’ll let go of this soon. Very soon. By November 7th at the latest. Yesterday, George Allen placed a telephone call to S.R. Sidarth to apologize yet again for the slip of the tongue that has sent his campaign into a tailspin. Allen’s critics remain unimpressed, including the 50 protesters that greeted President Bush’s arrival at an Allen fundraiser yesterday with signs that included, “Hey, George, macaca is a bad word.”…

Sluggish Commute Everywhere

Everyone back to work! Just in time for the post-Labor Day return to work, WMATA is reporting delays on the Red Line. WTOP reported this morning that the 15-minute delays are between Union Station and Rhode Island Avenue, which is getting DCist thinking that they’re related to this past weekend’s trackwork at the NewYoFla station construction site. I-95 Traffic to Get Worse

DCist doesn’t have to tell anyone who regularly drives Interstate 95 in Virginia that traffic is bad. So we’re going to refer you an AP article that the W.Times picked up saying that roadways like I-95 are reaching capacity. That means that there is no more room for additional vehicles, which means that rush hour lasts over many more hours. Virginia may be for lovers, but at least in Northern Virginia, only lovers of traffic….
