Stephen Starr, behind D.C.’s Le Diplomate, is partnering with Los Angeles chef Nancy Silverton to open an Italian market and osteria in Georgetown.

The restaurant from the team behind Le Diplomate expects to open at 5th and Morse St. NE on September 9.

In a world filled with small plates, foam, and sometimes questionable Latin-Asian fusions, it feels almost novel to walk into a restaurant that is hews so closely to classical French cuisine.
