A Philadelphia businessman pleaded guilty today to one misdemeanor count of violating campaign finance laws in an expanding federal probe of political donations made to federal and local D.C. lawmakers.

Barely hours after a former employee of alleged straw donation funder Jeff Thompson pleaded guilty to a campaign finance violation, another Thompson associate is charged.
