120 young players from across the continent competed in the North American School Scrabble Championship this past weekend at D.C.’s Planet Word Museum.

Lawyers Threaten Legal Action Over Education For Students With Disabilities In D.C. Jail
The lawyers accuse the city of violating federal education law that protects students with disabilities. They say they are prepared to sue if the quality of education does not improve for the upcoming school year.
The semester will still begin August 31, but classes will be held online for the first two weeks at least due to the ongoing pandemic. On-campus students are asked to stay inside as much as possible.
