The bill also requires D.C. Public Schools to implement a menstrual health curriculum for all students starting in the fourth grade.

Feminine hygiene products and diapers are currently taxed with a 5.75 percent sales tax.

The legislation would eliminate the sales tax on feminine hygiene products as well as diapers for children and adults.
