Virginia Senate Republicans yesterday blocked an attempted repeal of the state’s law requiring pregnant women who seek an abortion to first undergo a mandatory ultrasound examination.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, who earlier this year supported and signed a law requiring all pregnant women considering getting an abortion to undergo a mandatory ultrasound examination, thinks there’s was a gender gap in Tuesday’s election. Go figure.
