Go-go legends and local scholars appear throughout the film, which interweaves archival footage and videos from this summer’s protests in D.C.
The theme will air along with the new D.C.-based midnight ‘SportsCenter’ hosted by Montgomery County native Scott Van Pelt.

Yep, the Foo Fighters played a surprise two-hour set for Big Tony’s Birthday Celebration at 9:30 Club last night.
Ben Taylor grew up attending Dischord shows in D.C., and it was that post-punk atmosphere that helped influence Taylor as he formed JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound in Chicago in 2007. A soul band through and through, their infectious sound and intensely energetic live sets (with a touch of old-school theatrics) have garnered them a growing fan base hungry for something new.
The day before the Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch—better known as MCA—died last week, the rap legends were slapped with a lawsuit filed on behalf of the D.C. go-go band Trouble Funk.
