First it was a go, then it was a hoax, but now it looks like this rally, which will cause many headaches for Beltway commuters, is back on.
This will get messy: Hundreds of truck drivers will clog the Beltway as they ride to Congress for the Truckers Ride For The Constitution rally.
In more evidence that the Washington region is doing better than many of its city counterparts, a report on car affordability released last week found that middle-income residents of the DMV are the only ones in the country fully able to afford a new car or truck.
The two trucks that make up the Fojol Brothers’ food truck empire are out of commission today, booted at 12th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Lucky Lottery Mobile Not So Mobile After All
Tough news for those of you who were hoping to do a little bit of gambling while you wandered outside to pick up a truck lunch this afternoon: the D.C. Lottery’s Lucky Lottery Mobile, slated to have its first run at Farragut Square today, has some “technical difficulties” and won’t be appearing as scheduled.
Have you ever been out to lunch at one of the various food trucks which roam around the city and thought that the one thing which would make your midday meal complete is a scratch-off lottery ticket? Yeah, me neither. But that’s not stopping the D.C. Lottery from hopping on the mobile retail bandwagon.
Do you own a snow plow? Well, the driver in this photo does. And he still got stuck. DCist’s own Kelly Rand emailed to share the image and explain: A snow plow was stuck at 6th and F Streets NE at about 3 p.m. today. The driver said that the plow broke because it got stuck on the pavement and he couldn’t move it until some help came. Not sure how the tow truck…
