The “National Mall of Pickleball” event will offer three days of free court time for players of all ages and skill levels.

The “Pulling Together” exhibit opening Aug. 18 is meant to challenge the concept of a U.S. monument and asks, “What stories remain untold on the National Mall?”

The Tidal Basin Ideas Lab, a new virtual exhibit, features proposals from five designers and seeks ideas from the public.

A new shuttle service isn’t the only thing the National Mall received today. The Trust for the National Mall announced that its chairman, John “Chip” Akridge, is donating $1 million more to the nonprofit he founded in 2007.
