Officers With Capitol Police, Anne Arundel Police Suspended For Alleged Actions During Capitol Insurrection
Police departments across the country have been investigating—and in some cases, disciplining—officers for their potential involvement in the violent and fatal insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
“A lot of these supporters of our president that were out are normally law enforcement supporters … perhaps there was a miscalculation,” Acting D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee said on WAMU’s Politics Hour on Friday.
The non-scalable fence will go from Constitution Avenue to Independence Avenue and from First Avenue to near the pond in front of the Capitol.
