Over the last decade Ward 6 gained more than 30,000 residents, fully one-third of D.C.’s population growth over that period. One problem: it’s now too big.

Getting an accurate count of who lives in the District, especially during a pandemic, was already challenging. Having a month less than previously planned will make it even more difficult.

Yesterday, a personal finance website put out a slideshow of the richest counties in the U.S., showing that 10 of the 15 wealthiest counties are in the D.C. area. Most everyone jumped on covering the information. Except it’s old news.
