The plant started unfurling around 6 p.m. Monday night and emitting its signature stench.

The third corpse flower is expected to bloom over the weekend, and it is expected to be the biggest of the bunch.

It’s still open, while a second and third flower are expected to bloom between Aug. 22-30.

A non-metaphorical odor of decay is headed for the U.S. Capitol in about a week.

If a holy stench is what you’re after, head down to the Botanic Garden between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

It is expected to reach peak bloom sometime between July 28-31.
