A velodrome that was proposed for a site near Nats Park is no more, having fallen victim to a bum economy and high rent payments.

It’s confirmed: a velodrome is coming to Buzzard Point in Southwest D.C. this year.

The District has a skate park, polo fields, softball diamonds and plenty of other facilities for sports — but it doesn’t have a velodrome. That’s about to change.
