Evans Calls LivingSocial Tax Break ‘Good Start’
Councilmember Jack Evans (D-Ward 2), who oversees the District’s tax code, called Mayor Vince Gray’s proposal to rewrite some high-tech incentives as a way of keeping daily-deals company LivingSocial based in Washington a “good start.”
According to a senior D.C. official, Mayor Vince Gray is still in negotiations with the Washington Redskins over a plan to relocate the team’s Virginia-based training facility to a site on the eastern edge of Capitol Hill.
