Metro has backed off on a plan to cut service on two bus lines in Southeast D.C. over claims that the buses were being pelted by rocks.

Mayor Vince Gray said today that he’s “unalterably opposed” to a Metro proposal to cut service along two bus routes in Southeast D.C. due to rocks being thrown at buses and passengers.

Metro wants to reroute two buses traveling through a residential neighborhood in Southeast D.C. due to repeated incidents where buses have been pelted by rocks.
