Around 1:30 p.m. the Naval Support Activity commander lifted the shelter in place for the entire installation.

New residents are starting to move onto the old Walter Reed Army Medical Center campus in Northwest D.C., which is being redeveloped into a large mixed-use site.

It’s expected to open in 2022.

The site will have over three million square feet of mixed-used space.

All patient care at the facility has been cancelled for the day.

Wegmans is still in talks to come to Walter Reed.

Not included in the plan, so far, is a Wegmans.
