Ward 4 candidate Janeese Lewis George’s campaign signs were taken down by the Department of Public Works last week.
The campaign of Janeese Lewis George, who’s running for the Ward 4 D.C. Council seat, made the announcement Wednesday.
That leaves two Democratic challengers vying for the seat held by incumbent Brandon Todd, who’s seeking the position for the third time.
Renée Bowser, a labor lawyer, seven-term Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in Petworth, and Ward 4 Democratic State Committeemember, is running to represent the District’s northernmost ward.
Janeese Lewis George says “Ward 4 deserves a strong, independent voice that is going to be unbossed and unbought by developers, contractors, and the current [mayoral] administration.”
