Father Urbano Vazquez is already serving 15 years for sexually abusing two young girls.

The appointment comes in the wake of sexual abuse scandals involving former or current Washington-area clerics.

The former priest at a Columbia Heights parish faces up to 30 years in prison for allegedly sexually abusing two minors and one adult parishioner.

The new child sex abuse allegation stemmed directly from Father Urbano Vazquez’s first arrest.

The girl was reportedly 13 years old at the time of the abuse.
